Islands
Though the popularity of kitchen center islands is always in flux, there couldn’t be a simpler or more practical solution to any holiday party concerns. You can use your island to prepare a great feast of a meal, serve a buffet with the line of guests winding around it, act as a secondary dining table or gathering space for chit-chatting, store unnecessary appliances to create more counterspace, and more. You will surely find useful functions for an island throughout other parts of the year as well.
Double Range/Oven
Expanding your cooking space will reduce your total time spent in the kitchen preparing dinner and allow you to serve up multiple hot and fresh dishes onto the table at the same time. You won’t have to whip together dessert ahead of time when you can simply stick in it your double oven next to the turkey that’s roasting. If you’re short on table space, a double range will give you plenty of room to set dishes in between servings, all while keeping them nice and warm.
Beverage Stations
Easy access to a variety of refreshing drinks is key to quality entertaining. Consider investing in a small wine fridge or other specialty cooler. Including an ice drawer and mini bar with glasses stocked nearby will allow guests to serve themselves while you focus on the main task at hand. A coffee bar or liquor station are great options to offer as well. Best of all, keeping drinks separate will free up more storage space in the refrigerator for ingredients and leftovers!
