Kid-Friendly Bathrooms

Every parent knows how hectic it can be having kids, especially multiple. The bathroom seems to always be the place where most of the chaos happens. Sharing a sink to brush teeth, not being able to reach the sink, or towels and soaps laying out everywhere. We decided to take some of these problems into our own hands and find some solutions that will make yours and your children’s life a little bit easier. A kid-friendly bathroom is a happy bathroom, and we are here to make that happen. Some solutions to your everyday problems are listed below:
- Double Vanities- Getting ready in the morning with multiple people including kids in the morning can be crazy, but investing in double vanities will ensure that you don’t have to run late, and everyone will have their hair and teeth brushed and ready to go in no time. No more fighting over who goes first when two can go at the same time!
- Step Stools/Pull Out Steps- The struggle is real when your kids are independent enough to get ready on their own but can’t reach the sink or mirror to get ready. Stools no longer have to be cheap plastic that ruins the look of your bathroom, wooden stools can actually be the perfect touch to your bathroom. If you don’t want one in your way, pull-out steps are another great option. Just pull out your bottom drawer and place the lid that supports up to 90 pounds on top. When there is no longer a need for a step, remove the lid and get your storage space back!
- Open Shelving- Some cabinets need to be locked up to keep chemicals and your expensive shampoos away from sticky fingers, but simple items like towels can be placed on shelves on your vanity so you don’t have to schedule a search party every time your kids need a towel.
- Extra Built-Ins- Many modern tubs and showers have built-ins for soaps and shampoos but they are normally designed for adults height. Adding a lower cubby for your kids can make shower time a little easier for both of you.
- Fanciful Lighting- If you only have one bathroom in your home you probably don’t want it to scream “kid’s bathroom.” Fun lighting fixtures are a great way to add some fun without going overboard on kid’s things.
